Meat Shoot

Need a turkey for Thanksgiving or a ham for Christmas, even Bacon & Steaks for any day?  Stop by and  try your hand at bringing home the bacon at the Eureka Elks meat shoot on Sunday, Sept 22 from 11-6 at Brookdale Farms just outside Eureka at 8004 Twin Rivers Road, Eureka, 63025 (the location of the Corn Maze).  The Boy Scouts will be on hand selling yummy food.  This is a family friendly event and kids can shoot in any round.  Bring your own shotgun or there will be guns available for everyone to use.  Never been to a meat shoot, that's OK, volunteers will be on hand to explain how it works.  Turkey shoots use to be a common fall weekend event 30 years ago and the Elks are bringing back the tradition.  Each round will consist of 20 shooters competing for a specified prize, you choose what round you want to shoot in.  The person coming closest to the center of the target with a shotgun pellet wins the round and takes home the prize.
