7th Annual Methodist Men's Chili Cook-Off

7th Annual Eureka United Methodist Men's Chili Cook-off Supporting Eureka Food Pantry

New venue, same great cause: On January 27th at 5 p.m. come to the Eureka Community Center for the 7th Annual Eureka United Methodist Men's Chili Cook-off.  No football = no excuses.

How's your chili?  Who has the best
chili in Eureka?
For the past 6 years we have found the best chili at EUMC, but this year we are going bigger.  We want to know who has the best chili in Eureka.  Last year we had local restaurateurs and chefs judging.  Jay Hoskins took home the top prize while Mike Sperl and Allen Steger took home second and third.  Not to be outdone, the Wren boys garnered the People's Choice Award.  The people’s choice award is given to the contestant who raises the most cash at their table.  There will be entertainment by Steve O’Connell.

If you're interested in entering your blazing brew, contact
Paul Colbert at cpaulcolbert@gmail.com or 636-222-2120. Entry fee is $10. Doors open at 4 p.m. for set up. We provide cups, bowls, and spoons; you provide the rest.

Help the Eureka Food Pantry: Last year, we came close to our goal of $2,000 for the Eureka Food Pantry, but let's break through the 2K barrier this year! Bring a can (or 20), too: we'll need to restock those shelves for a cold St. Louis winter. Hundreds of families in the area depend on the Food Pantry and your support. Come make 2013 the best Chili Cook-off ever.
