Paving Starts Today or Wednesday on Missouri Route 109

The hole is filled; now on to repaving the missing segment of roadway. Eleven fresh photos take you to the site to see the progress.

Repairs to a failing portion of Missouri Route 109 currently look somewhat like Mayan architectural ruins.

The hearts of Mayan cities were large plazas surrounded by the most important governmental and religious buildings, such as the royal acropolis, great pyramid temples and occasionally ball-courts. Now this portion of Route 109 encompasses a hillside of staggered rock walls, all built up to a winding focal point atop the hill in Wildwood.

The was completely dug out since last Monday, and filled with 1.93 tons per cubic yards of compacted rock rubble, said Krupp Construction professional land surveyor Randy Brickey.

Krupp Construction crews are working around-the-clock to complete the task by April 1.

Brickey said everyone was working on the subgrading of the newly built platform, and that pavement would be poured at least by Wednesday.
