Child Pornography Convictions Put Franklin County Man in Prison

Assistant U.S. Attorney Tiffany Becker handled the case today (Tuesday) for the Eastern District of Missouri U.S. Attorney's Office.

A Tuesday news release from the Eastern District of Missouri U.S. Attorney's Office announced Michael Manning, 33, Sullivan, MO, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for receipt and possession of child pornography in August and September 2010.

Manning was convicted Sept. 7 of one felony count each of receipt and possession of child pornography, and appeared today (Tuesday) for sentencing before U.S. District Judge Carol Jackson, according to the release.          

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the Regional Computer Crime Education and Enforcement Group, the South Central Missouri Computer Crime Task Force and the Child Advocacy Center of East Central Missouri.
