Subway in Eureka Moving

Sandwich-loving Subway customers will have to wait a bit to satisfy their cravings for footlongs.

Subway managers in Eureka are in the process of moving from 106 Hilltop Village Center Drive to 177 Eureka Towne Center Drive in the Eureka Towne Center shopping center, located off of Fifth Street and near the Walmart Supercenter.

The former location closed Feb. 25, however the new location is not yet open.

Subway will join at least 15 other businesses in that shopping center:

Nail Idol
H&R Block
China King
CATO Fashions
State Beauty Supply
GameStop
Imo's Pizza
Look After Hair Care
Radio Shack
Hibbett Sports
GNC
Dollar Tree
Mattress Source
Famous Footwear
Walmart Supercenter

It's not being used by MoDOT nor are there any solid plans to develop it in the near future. His guess was that the property owner is farming it to obtain a lesser property tax assessment.
