Rockwood Guns 'Shoots' for New Business

Rockwood Guns, located at 212 S. Virginia Ave., is one of the area's newest businesses.
Rockwood Guns is a Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) dealer that provides competitive, discounted pricing on a variety of handguns, hunting and competition rifles, assault pistols, assault rifles, shotguns and accessories.
Special discounts are offered at the business for law enforcement, military and government agency personnel.

Owners Charlie and C.J. Wilkin opened Rockwood Guns in May. Charlie is C.J.'s father. Both have lived in the Eureka area all their lives, and also own , located next door to the gun shop and behind the Eureka Chamber of Commerce building.
C.J. also is employed as a marketing and sales director with Group 360 Worldwide. One of his biggest clients there is Bass Pro Shop. C.J. said he believes the key to success is providing great customer service. "At Rockwood Guns, you are not a number in line, but a customer who we will take all the time you need to provide you quality professional one-on-one customer service."

C.J. takes pride in offering personalized customer attention and making it his goal to deliver the best pricing and service. He has been a collector of guns since a young age, and has a great deal of knowledge of guns, as well as his sales associate, John Smith, who said he has been hunting and using rifles all his life.
Smith and C.J. both support the right to bear arms with proper education and training.
The Rockwood Guns staff welcomes trade-ins toward the purchase of new guns. They appraise guns, and indicated they strive to give customers the highest possible amount for trade-in value.
About 100 new and used guns and rifles are available for purchase in the store, at any given time. If they don't have what a customer is searching for, they said they often can order it. "In most cases, we can find a new gun, and get it for customers within 48 hours," said C.J.
They also offer FFL transfers for customers that have purchased a gun online and need to have it shipped to a local FFL dealer.
In addition to sales, the Rockwood Guns staff offers conceal and carry classes. They hope to offer additional types of classes, as well as an indoor shooting range in the future.
