Restaurant Review Round-Up: Joe Boccardi's Ristorante

See what people are saying about restaurants and bars in the Eureka and Wildwood areas.

This week, the review round-up is grabbing a booth at Joe Boccardi's Ristorante, 128 Joe Boccardi Lane, Eureka.

Before we get to the reviews, here's a description of the establishment, courtesy of our directory:

"Like the staple it mainly deals in -- pasta -- Joe Boccardi's Ristorante has been a staple of the local food scene since 1971. Still, although pasta rules here, it's not a tyrant; there are also steak offerings and Sicilian cheeseburgers with either provel or pepper cheese. And, of course, that St. Louis favorite and specialty, toasted ravioli, graces the appetizers list. You can either choose to eat inside, in the restaurant's cozy, accommodating atmosphere, or sit outside on the breezy, generous rear patio. The Eureka location is one of three Joe Boccardi's in the St. Louis metropolitan area."

From Yelp (3 out of 5 stars, from 12 reviews)

MaryPat G. writes: "My last name ends in a vowel.. I feel I am a good judge of Italian food. Based off two visits I think 4 stars is good. I've only come in through the back door. My boyfriend was originally from Eureka and has sated that the carpet and decor is the same as the 1980's.. so if you are looking for fancy this isn't it. The place is clean though and there are no funky smells. Everyone that ever approached us or waited on us was kind and fast enough for the huge volume they have."

Private M. writes: "We haven't been here in a while and I think that is telling. It is decent, but not memorable enough for us to have to go back."

Billy L. Fauller III writes: "Food was good, service was okay. Not a lot of energy for this type of restaurant."

TheFoodGuy writes: "Hands down - best pizza in St Louie!"
