See what people are saying about restaurants in the Eureka and Wildwood area.

This week's review round-up is grabbing a booth at Super Smokers BBQ, located at the corner of Stockell Drive and N. Central Avenue.

Before we get to the reviews, here's a description of the establishment, courtesy of our directory:

"Super Smokers BBQ is an award-winning restaurant with two area locations. It's known for its pulled pork barbecue sandwiches, BBQ nachos, baby back ribs and its Memphis style pork wrap. Spicy, mild and Kansas City-style sauces are offered."

From Patch:

Allison Lee gave it 5/5 stars: "Fantastic barbecue --one of the best in St Louis!!!"

From Urban Spoon:

Mwmaas15 didn't like it: "The food arrived quickly, which is probably the only positive comment I can make. Instead of being juicy, tender, and full of apple flavor, like I remember from years past, the pulled pork was was flavorless and dried out. I couldn't find smoke rings on the meat, which is characteristic of any and all barbecue smoked properly. I had to douse every bite in barbecue sauce just to make it palatable."

From Yelp:

Courtney G. gave it 3/5 stars: "Again, I am not a huge BBQ fan, but the pulled pork was pretty good.  It was very dry, which I prefer, and there is an array of 6 sauces right there on the table so you can choose what you are in the mood for.  The sandwich was piled very high with meat, so much that I only had about a third of the sandwich and I was done.  Next I tried my sides.....and holy cow, was that jalapeno cornbread good.  I mean seriously delicious."

Jeff C. gave it 1/5 stars: "Very sad what has happened to this once fine restaurant. The ribs are tasteless--probably boiled to death before being finished in a grill or smoker for a few minutes, but the bottom line is that the ribs are pitiful."

Private M. gave it 4/5 stars: ""Very good ribs. They are a dry rub with almost a "candy coating" on how the ingredients carmelize after slow cooking. I have found that the rib dinner with 2 sides is a good deal, but they kind of skimp on the size of the sides you get with that meal. The only issue I have here is that it, in my opinion, can get pretty pricey really fast if you don't watch what you are buying/spending. Also, some sides are better than others."
