Putting on the Green Contest at O'Dell's Irish Pub & Ale

Pretend to be in Ireland while right in Eureka this weekend.

O'Dell's Irish Pub & Ale House owners recently applied for a permit to host a special event this weekend for St. Patrick's Day. Themed activities for Saturday and Sunday include:

  • A beer garden from 11 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. each day
  • Killian's Irish Bagpipe Women sometime on Saturday
  • Pot 'O Gold contest with six participating Eureka merchants, through which customers get cards stamped at each locale with one person eventually winning $500 worth of gift certificates and prizes
  • Irish food
  • Green contest for customers to wear "as much green bling" as they can

O'Dell's is located at 141 S Central Ave. in Eureka. Tina O'Dell said they will have a huge tent with heaters and seating for the beer garden.

The pub has the following Irish beers on-draft:  Guinness, Harp and Killian's Irish Red. Tara O'Dell said a full bar will be available outside under the tent, with beers in aluminum cans and Irish whiskeys, as well as limited Irish foods, such as Reuben sliders.
