Patriot Arms Gun Shop Hosts Grand Opening

A new firearms store in Eureka held a welcome event Saturday.

Patriot Arms Inc., located at 89 Hilltop Village Center Dr., is a new Eureka business at which customers can buy firearms, ammunition and accessories. Owners Scott Perkins, John Padrolie and Todd Davis hosted a grand opening at the location Saturday, including attendance prizes, free food and beverages, as well as a Viper Car Club display on the parking lot.

Davis said they are a full range store, and can custom-order products. "Based on current interests in guns, it may take only two to three days, or it can take up to two months for a customer to get an item—it all depends on what they're interested in."

Patriot Arms' customers can purchase ammunition, cleaning kits and knives, as well.

Padrolie, a Eureka resident, said the three of them plan to expand in about three months to add archery items and fishing gear.

Davis said the expansion would include more accessories for hunting and shooting as well.

They plan to carry live bait, minnows and crickets after the expansion.

Davis said he, Padrolie and Perkins had been friends for about 20 years. "We've always wanted to go into business together," said Padrolie, "so we pooled our resources."

Getting steady supplies of ammunition is still a challenge, said Davis. "It's not the government buying it up. It's people hoarding it. We haven't seen a letup."
