New Mattress Source Store Opens in Eureka

"Approximately one-third of our lives is spent on our mattresses," said Josh Oaks, a sales associate for a new, local sleep-related business.

A Mattress Source retail location is now open at 149 Eureka Towne Center Drive. It became the most recent of 12 Mattress Source locations in the St. Louis metropolitan region, including three stores in Illinois.

Oaks said the company's nimble size enables them to work with similarly sized companies to offer custom-made products. He said it's best if customers come to the store to actually lay down on and feel the mattresses. "Our products are second-to-none, and may be hard to compare because many of our items are unique."

He said shoppers' most frequently asked questions are:

1. What's in a mattress?
2. Who makes each mattress?
3. How do mattresses hold bed impressions?
4. What are the warranties?

In addition to mattresses, Oaks said the store sells pillows, sheets, standard frames and mattress protectors.

Store hours for the Eureka location are:  

• Monday through Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Sunday:  11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Although employees of this St. Louis family-owned business rotate among the 12 locations, Oaks and manager Ryan Murphy often can be seen at the Eureka store. "They take care of us very well," said Oaks, who said he receives a weekly schedule of which locations he will work.

Prior to the Eureka location, the closest nearby Mattress Source stores were in High Ridge and Ellisville.
