Los Cabos Restaurant Hopes to Open Soon

On Tuesday, Los Cabos Restaurant owner was waiting for the St. Louis County inspector. Will the Mexican family food spot be approved and allowed to open by this weekend, just in time for Eureka Days?

The kitchen's ready and the food is ordered at Los Cabos Restaurant at 54 Legends Plaza in . All that's left is completing St. Louis County's standard reviews and inspections, which the restaurant owners hope happens before Friday. As reported in Eureka-Wildwood Patch mid-July, a new Mexican family-owned restaurant was gearing up to open:

Once open, the restaurant will serve the same menu as the Los Cabos restaurants owned by the same operators in Washington and St. Clair, MO. To see a Los Cabos online menu, click here.

Owners Ron and Kathy Hallows, who are residents of Washington, previously operated a third restaurant in New Melle, MO, which they closed. Their daughter, Melissa, also assists with the business.

The Los Cabos Restaurant in Washington was their first one, and it was opened in 2007. The Los Cabos in St. Clair opened during March 2010.

"We'd really, really like to open in time for Eureka Days," said Ron on Tuesday.

The owner, of course, should do whatever he/she wishes to do on his own property. I'm simply curiousRead More about Wildwood's Planning and Public Work's "guess." How does farming a piece of property instead of allowing it to sit vacant actually decrease its tax assessments? It doesn't change the zoning. What is the zoning of the property? If residential, how much corn do I need to plant on my extra property to decrease my property assessment?
