Welcome to Eureka!

The family and I went there tonight for dinner. I need to remind myself to never go to another food joint on opening night. The place was chaotic to say the least. The food was very good, I had a pulled pork sandwich, the Wife had the Chef Salad and some Fried mushrooms (YUCK!). The kiddo's split a Cheese pizza. The pizza is the "cracker crust" pizza, much like Imo's, but better IMO. The food was the best part by far, the service was less than desirable however, but I can understand somewhat, being their first day open. We were there for over an hour, never got one of our appetizers ordered, never got a refill, and took almost 20 minutes to get the bill, even after the wife asked multiple times for it. We saw several couples get up and walk out, after sitting for some time waiting for someone to take their order. As I stated though, the food was excellent, and I will certainly be going back, just not for a few weeks, till they get into a better rhythm. I will chock the service issue up to it being opening night. And as Joe said, welcome to Eureka, it's nice to have a new place to eat.

It's good to hear from someone who was brave and went on the first day, Michael Blacketer. The overall Gibby's menu is pretty expansive (appetizers, burgers, salads, sandwiches, BBQ, pastas and pizza), so there should be plenty of other things from which to choose when you go back.

I was at Gibby's and had a whole different experience. The service was excellent, our server was very attentive and friendly. Can't wait to go back. Food was yummy and great atmosphere!

My father and I went to gibby's yesterday and did not have a very good experience. Fries tasted raw and were not fully cooked. My father had to ask them to zap his roast beef sandwich in the microwave because it was cold as well. I myself would not of been that nice about it. Atmosphere very depressing, not a single picture on the wall. Basically it boils down to them opening in a hurry and not being ready.

Consructive comment: No pictures on the walls which contribute to the experience, dirty windows, dirty mens room, service slow, come on someone has invested money hopefuly for a return on their investment. You do not want this nice place to become a 90 day wonder " I wonder how they lasted 90 days" Improve on the above and you may have a winner.

I recently had dinner with family last Saturday night at the new Gibby's in Eureka. Gibby's was jammed but all went really well. Our food was very good and came at a reasonable time considering the place was packed - my grandson had the mozzerella sticks and we split a French Dip sandwich that was excellent, very lean - my brother had the seafood pasta which he orders at the original Gibby's in St. Clair all the time, and his girl friend had Pasta Con Broccoli which is the best in the city, and as far as I can say, anywhere I've ever eaten this dish. Even though they don't have the pictures on the walls yet, the space is modernized with great looking galvanized panelling, something very different and cool, and the owners created a 'private' area for special parties and such in the back dining area. We're thinking of having my granddaughter's birthday party there. I stopped by for a late lunch at Gibby's today - grilled chicken Ceasar salad. VERY good. Yummy. That's two out of two, which is a hit in my book! Thanks and welcome to Eureka, Gibby's.

Met a friend for dinner last night at Gibby's. We split a salad (The Trenton - delicious) and enjoyed The Gibby pizza. Pizza was loaded with toppings and very good. There are now several framed photos on the walls of places and landmarks in Eureka - nice touch. I'll be back.

Was there last night. . .food was good, service was not. Maybe as time goes on the waiters and waitresses will get the hang of it.

Have been there at least 6 times and food and service has always been excellent. Our family has had the Gibby's pizza (awesome LOADED with toppings), the French Dip (my wife say's it is the best) and cooked fresh everyday, pasta, the burgers, wings, potato skins (with real bacon broken on top). Welcome to Eureka

Ordered 4 times delivery from this place. Either software problems or language between kitchen and order taker. Got screwed out of many extra meat balls so many times I gave up! Charged with no delivery. Called and was told manager would have call back! Dead giveaway of fly by night! Think billboard will last longer then them! Eureka resident

Sorry to pick nits but somewhere an English teacher cries. I have only suspicions as to what Jr. Risch was attempting to communicate.

We stopped by there earlier this week around 8 PM and the restaurant was all locked up and dark. Does anyone know if they have closed or if this was just a mistake? We have eaten there several times and especially like their pizzas which had a thin and crispy crust and excellent toppings. If anyone knows what is going on please post. Thanks
