Bites Nearby: Try Panda Chinese Restaurant

For meals to celebrate the 2011 Chinese New Year on Thursday, here's one of the themed eatery options in Wildwood.

Local Wildwood and Eureka residents tend to celebrate the Chinese New Year by preparing a Chinese-themed meal or by dining out at a favorite restaurant, such as Panda Chinese Restaurant.

This Wildwood establishment, conveniently located in a new shopping center near the St. Louis Community College-Wildwood campus, is a good place to pick up a meal on the way home.

The restaurant's signature dish is seafood delight, a shrimp entrée that is priced at $8.95 during dinner hours. A similar dish, shrimp with lobster sauce, sells for $4.95 at lunch.  A wide variety of lunch entrees, all priced at $4.95, include pork fried rice or white rice and your choice of soup or an appetizer.  Their soups include wonton soup, egg drop soup or hot and sour soup. The appetizer choices are crab rangoon or an egg roll.

For those on a restricted diet, they have a selection of “Lite Chinese Food” that is steamed instead of fried, and served with a special sauce on the side.

The chef also has five different vegetarian dishes available.  The eatery, open seven days a week, has a dining room and also offers delivery.
