Advertising Manager Joins Eureka-Wildwood Patch

Meet Ben Fisher, who has a communications background and four years of previous experience in digital advertising sales.

Eureka-Wildwood Patch welcomes Ben Fisher as its new advertising manager. His role is to assist businesses and organizations with a variety of advertising packages and concepts, ushering in another community dimension to our local Patch website.

"I really see the value in community news firsthand," he said.

Digitally based advertising sales has been the focus of Fisher's past four years in his former responsibilities with the Lee Enterprises media company via the Suburban Journals in St. Louis. He holds a communications degree from Illinois University, with minors in English and business.

"I've enjoyed working with local businesses, especially the aspect of growing with those businesses where you live. It's great to develop both professional relationships and friendships," said Fisher, who is a native Iowan from the Quad cities.

Fisher said reactions from potential advertisers so far has been:  "Gosh, we've been wanting a local source like Patch for a long time."

He said he is looking forward to building business models that help companies and groups reach local residents.

"There's definitely a need for this neighborhood type of communication. The beautiful thing about it is that we can focus on local needs and grow together," he said.

In addition to handling advertising for Eureka-Wildwood Patch, Fisher also covers the Ellisville-Ballwin, Chesterfield and Town & Country-Manchester Patch sites.
