Incredible New Course For Freedom 4 Miler & Family Fun Run on July 4

To kick off the Fair St. Louis activities on July 4, the St. Louis Sports Commission is hosting two runs through Downtown St. Louis-a Freedom 4 Miler and a Family Fun Run presented by Schnucks. The Freedom 4 Miler starts at 7:00 a.m. and the Family Fun Run starts at 8:30 a.m.

This years 4 miler course is the best St. Louis has ever produced. You'll pass by iconic sites like the Gateway Arch, the Old Courthouse, the Old Cathedral and Busch Stadium. With the Eads Bridge above, you will pass by Laclede's Landing, run by the Mississippi River and the docked river boats, see Ballpark Village coming out of the ground, pass the Cupples Warehouse District, wind through the business district, see the art of the Citygarden and end on Market Street with a view of the Gateway Arch in the morning sun.

Other event highlights include tech t-shirts (Freedom 4 Miler participants), dog tag finisher medals for all participants, most patriotic costume contest, Military discount and Armed Forces division, unit of soldiers running in cadence, red, white and blue popsicles and post race refreshments and 4th of July celebrations.

The entry fees for the Freedom 4 Miler are $30 by July 2nd and $35 on July 3rd and Race Day. The entry fees for the Family Fun Run are $15 through Race Day. To register or if you are interested in volunteering, go to http://www.fairsaintlouis.org/fair-saint-louis/freedom-4-miler/.
