Experience the Most Meaningful, Inspiring Night in Sports

The National Sportsmanship Awards showcases extraordinary examples of class and character by athletes, coaches and sports personalities from around the country.

Join the St. Louis Sports Commission for a one-of-a-kind event celebrating all that's right in sports. The National Sportsmanship Awards presented by Maryville University honors the best sportsmanship stories, moments and people of the past year.

The National Sportsmanship Awards takes place at the world headquarters of Edward Jones in St. Louis utilizing the venue's impressive atrium for the Awards Dinner and intimate 600-seat state-of-the-art theater for the Awards Show.

Among the honorees at the 2012 National Sportsmanship Awards will be Rashawn King, a high school sports standout who has battled leukemia. Rashawn is being recognized for selflessly foregoing a Make-A-Wish chance to meet LeBron James and instead requesting that lunch be provided to his entire school to thank his classmates for their support. Click here to read more about Rashawn and his upcoming trip to the National Sportsmanship Awards as reported by the North Carolina News & Observer.
