Missing Father, Son Found After Meramec River Disappearance

Police say Michael and David Hill, who disappeared from the Meramec River earlier this month, were found safe after an anonymous caller recognized them from media coverage.

St. Louis County Police say Michael and David Hill were found at approximately 8 p.m. Thursday, July 11 in Franklin County after an anonymous caller recognized them from media coverage and contacted the Franklin County Sherrif’s Department.

As previously reported by Patch, The St. Louis County Police Department has been asking for the public's help in locating the father and son who went missing earlier this month at the Palisades Conservation area's Meramec River access.

In an email Friday morning, authorities said the two were found safe and have been removed from the endangered missing persons advisory. Investigators confirmed that the motive for disappearance appears to be domestic in nature. 

At this time, no charges have been filed. More information will be released when available, the email stated.
