Wildwood College Student Performs in Harding University Homecoming Musical

Harding is the largest private university in Arkansas with 6,815 students and attracts more National Merit Scholars than any other private university in the state.

Briana Midgley of Wildwood performed with nearly 60 cast members, production crew and musicians in the Harding University Homecoming musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Shows took place Friday and Saturday in Benson Auditorium on campus.

Midgley is a junior majoring in early childhood education.

In this theatrical production, the biblical story of Joseph is told through a musical parable. Musical numbers throughout the show vary from rock 'n' roll to calypso to country and western.

Filled with vocalists, a chorus of children, a narrator, Jacob, Joseph and his brothers, Ishmaelites, Potiphar and Pharaoh, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a production full of song and choreography with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice.

Hannah Beall, Harding director of news services, said university managers also maintain campuses in Australia, Chile, England, France, Greece, Italy and Zambia.
