Make a Movie in a Day in Wildwood and You Could Win $500

Filmmakers will compete by creating 2- to 4-minute videos.

The city of Wildwood and B&B Theatres are co-sponsoring a speed-filmmaking competition that takes place in a 24-hour period in September. The first-place winner could take home $500 for creating a 2- to 4-minute film based on a theme, prop and a word or action.

The "Ready, Set Film!" competition will take place Sept. 20-21. Applications for the filmmaking event must be received by 5 p.m. on Sept. 13.

A judging panel will pick 10 finalists to screen their movies at B&B on Oct. 13 from noon to 5 p.m. Audience members will have a chance to select their "peoples' choice" winners, which will also receive a cash prize: $200.

Want to enter? It's $35 and you can get details and the application from the link above. There's a little more on the city of Wildwood's website as well.
