 Pacific, Mo. to be Named “TRAIN TOWN USA”

Ben Jones, Union Pacific Railroad, Director of Public
Affairs in Missouri will award the City of Pacific, Mo. the companies “TRAINTOWN USA” designation in the railroad’s 150th year anniversary registry, at11:00AM on Saturday, September 22, 2012, during Pacific Partnerships 10th
Annual Railroad Days Festival. The Festival will held at Pacific Station Plaza216 S. First Street in Pacific, Mo.
and runs from 10:00AM to 6:00PM.

Highlights of the 10th Annual Railroad Days
Festival will be a Union Pacific Locomotive, the Missouri Pacific Heritage Locomotive #1982, an SD70ACe diesel locomotive, commemorating the purchase ofthe Missouri Pacific Railroad by Union Pacific in 1982. Missouri Pacific
Railroad served the Pacific, Mo.area until the Union Pacific purchase. The Locomotive will be on display along
the railroad siding east of the Route 66 Railfan Visitor Center & Museum, 100 E. St. Louis Street Pacific, Mo. 63069, just north of the Festival Grounds at Pacific
Station Plaza. Food, vendors, games, Pacific has Talent Show, antique tractors, live music byThe Rebounds and fun for the entire family.

The Route 66 Railfan Visitor Center & Museum will also
host the Annual Fall Railroad Days Festival Model Train Show at the Pacific Eagles Hall 707 Congress Pacific, Mo.,
from 10:00AM to 3:00PM, to coincide with the Festival. (5 blocks west of the Festival) Transportation between the Model Train Show and the Railroad Days Festival will run on the hour. The show features a 16’ x 32’ N Scale Layout by
Gateway N-Trak and over 90 dealer tables of model trains. Admission $5.00 for Adults (kids under 12 FREE with paid adult) Pacific Missouri, which predates Union Pacific Railroad’s existence, was formerly the town of Franklin and renamed after the Railroad.
