Harvest Moon Festival

The Eureka Parks and Recreation Department invites you to join us for the Harvest Moon Festival.  Whether you come for the food, live music or free family fun, you will find something to enjoy.

2:00 - 10:00 p.m.  Vendors and Book Sale Open
2:00 - 5:00 p.m.    Children's Activities (games, crafts, pumpkin decorating, costume contest and more!)
3:00 - 5:00 p.m.    Children's Entertainment – Babaloo
3:00 - 7:00 p.m.    Hayrides
6:00 - 10:00 p.m.  Live Music - The Rebounds
7:00 p.m.               Harvest Moon Walk & 5K Night Run
8:30 p.m.               Celebration of EHS Senior Fall Athletes
8:30 - 10:00 p.m.  Bonfire

This event is being held in conjunction with the Eureka Project and the Wednesday Club.  The Eureka Project is sponsoring a Walk & 5K night run and a book sale and the Wednesday Club is sponsoring a scarecrow building contest.

To register online, visit www.active.com and enter Harvest Moon Walk/Run in the search field.  Registration forms are also available at the Eureka Chamber of Commerce office. The first 200 participant are guaranteed a race t-shirt, so sign up early!  For more information, please contact Julie wood at 636-938-5233 x 111.

The Eureka Project Book Sale:

The Eureka Project, a grass roots group supporting the campaign to build a new full service library in Eureka, will be hosting a book sale.  If you have books that you would like to donate to the book sale, please drop them off at the Chamber of Commerce office beginning Monday, October 10th through Saturday, October, 15th.  For more information about the book sale, please contact Julie Wood at 636-938-5233 x 111.

Wednesday Club Scarecrow Contest:

The Wednesday Club is challenging all businesses and organizations in Eureka to build a scarecrow made of recycled materials.  Plaques will be given to the first, second and third place winners and a sign will be placed in front of the winning businesses or organization.  For more information on how to get involved, please contact Jan Long at 314-578-4279.
