Drums and Music of Africa

An event held to celebrate Black History Month. This exciting program, which played to standing ovations at the Smithsonian Institution, takes you on a journey to Africa through folktales and music. Bobby Norfolk, explores the songs and oral traditions of its peoples while Kenya Ajanaku provides a rhythmic music setting and shares his extensive knowledge of native instruments. Norfolk is an internationally known storyteller and winner of three Emmy Awards and a Parents’ Choice honoree.
