West St. Louis County Lions Shop for Students Who Are Blind

Here's a good example of what the holiday spirit is all about. 2012 is the tenth consecutive year the Lions' group has done this good deed.

West St. Louis County Lions members from Eureka shopped Tuesday morning for six Missouri School For The Blind MO school students at the Walmart Supercenter in Eureka.

Lions' member Bryan Kiefer said they had an "awesome day" with the activity.

Kiefer said seven members helped buy a little more than $2,000 worth of gifts Tuesday, and packed the presents. He said they will present the gifts on Dec. 20 at the Christmas pageant held at the school.

"It is heartwarming to do, and see for your own self at Christmas time. It makes all the hard work we do come to life," said Kiefer.
