This week's Patch Viewfinder photo feature reflects a local remembrance of an important milestone in U.S. history: the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War (1861–1865). All eighth graders at middle schools are in the process of taking field trips to the Beaumont Boy Scout Reservation in High Ridge, MO, for this unique look at a sliver of one of the bloodiest parts of American history. This group of photos was taken when eighth graders from took their field trip Wednesday.
Each week in Viewfinder, Eureka-Wildwood photographers will provide you with snapshots of the community. We hope you enjoy them, and will add your own personal favorite photos as well. Pictures can be of interesting people, animals, events or environments. Simply click the Patch feature entitled "Manage your photos & videos" underneath the photo slider to add a photo, or you can e-mail editor Julie Brown Patton.
We welcome all ages of photographers. Thanks!
