Zach Gibson came out as a bisexual on his Facebook page. Read what his mom wrote to him after that.

Zach Gibson, of Union, MO, and his mother Michelle Conway McClain, have become something of the celebrities on the Internet in the past week, after Zach came out to his friends on his Facebook page, declaring that he was bisexual.

His mother's response, however, what was what propelled the web discussion on sites such as Upworthy, where it appeared early on.

"Zach, I was surprised by your Facebook post where you came out. I want you to know that I love you unconditionally.

"I love you with my actions, not just my words. I’m so proud of you. You are the bravest person I know. I’ll fight for you always. Your sexual orientation does not define you.

"You are still the boy who forever won my heart. The only thing that concerns me is the number of empty soda cups and tea bottles in your room.

"Throw them away before ants come inside. I love you always, Mom."

Zach later posted on his Facebook page, "I never expected this much support. I knew my mom would be fine with it, but I never expected this letter and I never expected this many people to spread it around. This means so much."

"Zach has been absolutely overwhelmed with all of the support he has received," his mother later posted on Upworthy. "People keep telling me that I'm an amazing mother, but it's easy to be when I have such an amazing son."
