See World's Smallest Horse Today

There's still time to get your picture taken with Thumbelina, whose owners claim she is the world's smallest horse. She will be available in Wildwood's Greensfelder Park between 11 a.m. and noon.

Nothing is wild in today's seven-card Horseback Poker Run, except the fun time to be had. All proceeds benefit the Missouri Emergency Response (MERS) Large Animal Rescue, a Wildwood-based nonprofit organization that services the St. Louis and Illinois region, fueled by volunteers.

Registration for the equine-based card game begins at 7:30 a.m., with the last contestants to be sent out to the activity stations at 9 a.m.

For those who do not have horses to ride, but would like to participate in this first-time fundraiser, a bake sale is available between 9 a.m. and noon. There also is a silent auction and raffle. A live fiddle band is providing entertainment.
