Help Solve Mystery: Wildwood Wilderness Christmas Tree

Wild white pine along Missouri Route 100 gets decorated again. Who does this every year?

For the third year in a row, inquiring minds want to know: Who decorates this wild white pine growing among all the cedar trees along Missouri Route 100 for Christmas? The tree is located along the stretch of highway between Pond Road and Lynda Jayne Lane, on the south side of the road.

This year's new touch is a candy cane.

Over the hill from where it's growing is the subdivision located near Wildwood Middle School. Perhaps it's a homeowner there?

If anyone knows who decorates this special tree for the enjoyment of all of us travelers of Route 100, please share it here and thank them for us.

Do we really NEED to know who decorated the tree? Let's just enjoy that "bit of Christmas" along the highway. I'm sure the Christmas Tree elf will get our message if we leave it here ... Thank You Christmas Tree elf!

I was driving along 100 a few days ago and I saw the elves putting the decorations on the tree! It was funny to me because I had been thinking about the tree and when the tree elves would appear. I thought about stopping to see who they were, but I decided it was more fun not to know.

I love that little spark of the holiday along that drab, gray, wintery section of the highway, so thank you to whomever you are! I'm sure it brings you joy to decorate the little tree, but it brings far more joy to those of us cruising that section of highway on a daily basis. Happy holidays to you and yours.
