Looking for things to do before Valentine's Day?

1. UMSL @ WILDWOOD SPEAKER SERIES—DOLLARS AND SENSE

Where/When:  St. Louis Community College at Wildwood; Thursday, Feb 10, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Why Go:  Come listen to the featured speaker, Don Meyer, vice president of marketing and communications for the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth
Association, who will discuss current, hot business topics in the St. Louis region.

2. NATIVE PLANT SCHOOL—PLANT PROPAGATION FROM SEED


Where/When:  Shaw Nature Reserve; Thursday and Friday, Feb. 10 and 11, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go:  Come to this participation class, and learn various aspects of native
landscaping. Don’t forget to bring your questions, comments, drawings, and plant specimens, too!
Pricing:  $10 member; $13 non-member

3. CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN OPEN HOUSE

Where/When:  Wines of Wildwood; Friday, Feb. 11 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Why Go:  Is there anything else more fun to do on a Friday night then taste 15 to 20
wines and delicious rich chocolate from a cascading fountain?
Pricing:  $10 at the door

4. MOMS WITH CAMERAS CLASS

Where/When:  ; Saturday, Feb. 12, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Why Go:  Awaken your creative side, and take this fun, beginner's digital photography class!
Pricing: $45; $40 each when you bring a friend

5. VALENTINE’S NIGHT HIKE

Where/When:  Shaw Nature Reserve; Saturday, Feb. 12, 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Why Go:  Talk about a fun Valentine's idea.  How about spending the evening under the stars with your sweetheart, friends, or adult family members viewing the
constellations and planets using a telescope? Then enjoy tasty and steamy hot beverages and delectable desserts to share!
Pricing: $24 member; $30 non-member
