Get Out: Things To Do June 16 - 19

Home Alone Class, Go, Baby, Go Kids Class, USO Support Drive, Laughter Yoga, Community Garden Speaker Series, Concerts on Central, Father's Day Cookie Decorating Class, Farmers Market, Animal Encounters. Lots to do this weekend so enjoy!


  • Where:
    Eureka Community Center; Thursday, June 16, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
    Why Go:
    Children ages 8 - 12, along with an adult, will learn about topics, such as answering the phone and door safely, peer pressure, storm safety, emergency phone calls, fires and basic first aid.
    Pricing:
    Free.

  • Where:
    Eureka Hills Branch Library; Friday, June 17, at 10 a.m.
    Why Go:
    Babies and their caretakers are invited for stories, songs and a craft about things on the go. Recommended for ages up to 2 years old.
    Pricing:
    Free.

  • Where:
    110 S Central Ave; Eureka, Friday, June 17, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
    Why Go:
    In conjuntion of Eureka's Concert on Central Series, a number of organizations have teamed up to host a collection point for the USO, based at Lambert International-St. Louis Airport.
    Pricing:
    Financial donation.

  • Where:
    ; Friday, June 17, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
    Why Go:
    Think about laughing with your friends—add stretching, deep breathing, and clapping, and you have something close to laughing yoga!
    Pricing:
    $3 per class.

  • Where:
    South Central Avenue; Eureka; Friday, June 17, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
    Why Go:
    The band Cruzen will perform. Food and beverages also will be available at local businesses.
    Pricing:
    Free.

  • Where:
    Wildwood Farms Community Garden; Saturday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
    Why Go: 
    Learn how to keep weeds and bugs from taking over your garden.
    Pricing:
    Free.

  • Where:
    Wildwood Schnucks; Saturday, June 18, 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
    Why Go:
    You will get to decorate five to six cookies designed with dad in mind.
    Pricing:
    $5.

  • Where:
    Wildwood Town Center; Saturday, June 18 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
    Why Go:
    Get fresh produce, organic meats, tasty bakery items, homemade jams, P.M. BBQ, as well as many other locally created items.
    Pricing:
    Free to attend.

  • Where:
    World Bird Sanctuary; June 18, from 11:30 a.m. to noon, 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 19, from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
    Why Go:
    Enjoy a free, fun, family-friendly environmental education program presented by naturalists, using snakes, parrots, birds and mammals to teach you about the amazing creatures that share our planet, and what we can do to help them survive.
