Some smart phones have gotten 'smarper.' That's right, one application—called Smarp—allows users to know, on a real-time basis, where celebrities are throughout the world, by instantly reporting information about where they dine, shop, and party.

It seemed like an interesting idea to see which celebrities via Smarp had reportedly been in or .

• Ryan Howard [at Six Flags in Eureka], first baseman from the Philadelphia Phillies.

Smarp provides a dedicated textual and real-time search engine that analyzes millions of tweets and posts from people worldwide to provide users with new celebrity check-ins at restaurants, stores, theaters and other venues, according to a press release distributed through PRWeb. The people-driven process is known as indirect check-in.

Smarp is a New York-based company that provides this check-in service for both mobile and web users.

According to a Smarp trend report for this January through February, Rihanna is the topmost checked-in celebrity, followed by Drake and Justin Bieber. The most checked-in TV celebrity is Kim Kardashian, followed by Snooki. The most reported political leaders are Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.
