St. Mark's Lutheran in Eureka Begins New Year

Students at St. Mark's Lutheran School in Eureka are celebrating the start of a new school year.

The school began the year with a St. Mark's tradition - opening chapel services. This year, the school's senior students walked their young chapel buddies to church to help them get settled. Later in the day, the school's pre-school students settled in while sixth-graders got down to business in the school's technology lab.

The theme for this year is "IN-UP-OUT," based on
Ephesians 2:10: “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

St. Mark's Lutheran School serves children of all faiths from early childhood through eighth grade at its campus in Eureka, located at 500 Meramec Blvd.  For more information, visit www.stmlm.org.

St. Paul's kicked off the new year Aug. 17 with a Welcome Back picnic at their campus on N. Ballas Rd. The night ended with a closing prayer and luminary display.

St. Paul's and St. Mark's are members of the St. Louis-based Lutheran Elementary School Association (LESA).
