Rockwood Valley Middle School Student Highlighted on Katie Couric Show

In May 2013, 6th grade Rockwood Valley Middle School student Staciana Stock broke a district record in the long jump. Heading into the new school year as a 7th grade student, she now has something else to brag about.

A photo of Stock making that jump was featured on the Katie Couric Show in July. The episode was about female athletes. Couric, alongside guest host Robin Roberts, gave praise to Stock for her jump during the show.

Leading up to the episode, Couric encouraged all women athletes to send photos through Twitter and Instagram highlighting their accomplishments.
