Networking Event Helps Homeless Shelters 8/23

Network and help homelessness in St. Louis by attending the #HomelessHelpSTL Tweet Up 8/23.

The St. Louis Salvation Amy is on a mission, continuing to do the most good, to help the homeless population in the St. Louis area. Shelters are in great need of toiletry supplies. In response, there will be a tweet up 8/23 at the Omni Majestic Hotel in downtown St. Louis from 4-7 pm.

The #HomelessHelpSTL tweet up is a networking event for area professionals to gather, connect, exchange business cards, and drop off donations. The Salvation Army is asking attendendees to donate two toiletry items or give a $5 at the door.

Homeless shelters specifically need:

  • toilet paper
  • shampoo
  • conditioner
  • body wash
  • soap
  • baby soap
  • toothbrushes
  • toothpaste

The Salvation Army is here to serve communities and help where needed. Right now, the issue is homelessness and doing the most good to help individuals who have lost their homes and living on the streets. You can be part of that mission and do the most good by getting involved. Attend #HomelessHelpSTL this week with a donation. Go beyond this event and get involved and volunteer, donate items you use everyday. You don't need an event to make difference. Learn more about the St. Louis Salvation Army and how to get involved.
