More About Bethel United Methodist Church
Devoted to having an open door, open minds and open hearts, Bethel United Methodist Church congregants blend history with contemporary activities, Bible studies and missionary work.
Since 1924, church members have hosted an annual chicken dinner and crafts boutique during autumn. Additionally, they also host an annual auction with various themes. Their outreach support goes local organizations, such as Circle of Concern, and globally toward the Chonguene United Methodist Church in Mozambique, Africa.
Preschool children are taught lessons in Bethel's Nursery through the Cokesbury Methodist learning series. Bethel's Nursery is open each Sunday morning for the 9am and 10:30am services. Staffing is provided by a paid worker and a youth volunteer.
BYG Time (Bethel Youth Group, Teens Imitating Messiah's Example) is a program designed for teenagers in grades 6-12. The Rock Stars program gives a forum to kids in kindergarten through fifth grade for singing and performing.
Various adult leaders take turns being liturgists during the month.
