As Rockwood School District's original high school, Eureka students, faculty, staff and parents pride themselves in combining traditions with innovative initiatives. EHS was named by Newsweek magazine as one of America's most challenging high schools. 

EHS students consistently rank as top scholastic achievers, with more than 32 percent of overall students taking advanced placement exams. EHS was named a Missouri Gold Star School by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education, one of the highest recognitions any high school can receive.

Performance, promotion and partnership for excellence in education are key focal points at EHS via participation in the nationally recognized Renaissance program. Character education is embedded in all facets of the school's environment.

Sitting on nearly 80 acres, this complex is often referred to as being more like a college campus.
