Wildwood Parade Showcases City's Diverse Interests
From Wildwood's first treasurer and mayor to current city council members, schools, business reps, equestrians and first responders, Saturday's parade in Wildwood Town Center delivered candy and plenty of smiles.
Lilliana Tocco celebrated her exact seven-month birthday by watching the parade conducted for this year's Wildwood Founders' Day Celebration on Saturday morning. It was a birthday-themed sort of day, as residents observed Wildwood's 17th year since incorporation on Sept. 1, 1995.

Lilliana was joined by many other parade enthusiasts, including her parents, Louie and Kate, as well has her sister, Grace—all Ballwin residents. They also were present to see Wildwood resident Gina Tocco's son, Anthony, walk in the parade with the gardening group, which represented Wildwood's Community Garden.
Kate O'Connell, varsity field hockey coach at Lafayette High School, served as the Founders' Day parade marshal.
The parade started at 10 a.m. at New Community Church on Manchester Road. Participants then made their way to Taylor Road to Main Street and then to Fountain Place.
Editor's Note: A separate photo gallery will be published that shares the happenings of the rest of the Celebration day in Wildwood Town Center.
