Wildwood Man With Gun in Unknown Status With Police
Melrose Road in Wildwood is completely closed off due to the situation. Officials say do not plan to take that route between Missouri Route 100 and the Allenton/Six Flags Eureka area at the moment.
St. Louis County Police Department-Wildwood (6th) Precinct officers currently are at the scene with a man who reportedly has a gun in a residence located off of Melrose Road in Wildwood. Melrose Road is completely closed down until the matter is resolved, including both sides from Missouri Route 100 to Allenton.
Metro West Fire Protection District firefighters are blocking the road, while Metro West paramedics stand by near the scene. Wildwood police officers are on the scene, which could not be viewed from Missouri Route 100.
Metro West Capt. Kenny Orr said the situation had been called into police at approximately 8:30 p.m.
