Wildwood Farms Community Garden Presents Local Gardener as Next Guest Speaker

A local gardening expert will discuss fall planting: What and how to plan for a successful fall garden.

Wildwood Farms Community Garden's guest speaker scheduled for Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. "Garden Talk" is Ellen Barredo, a Wildwood resident and a Wildwood Farms Community Gardener.

Barredo is the horticultural manager at Bowood Farms, an urban garden center in St. Louis.

Bowood Farms specializes in perennials, herbs, and annuals, with a special interest in urban gardens. She also is featured monthly on the 'Inside Out' Show on KTRS 550 AM radio and in the Gateway Gardener Magazine.

The talk and garden is located at the corner of Taylor Road and Main Street. 

  • Bring a lawn chair and water to drink. Tents will be provided for shade.
  • All Wildwood residents are welcome.

Maybe future promotional materials for the garden guest speaker series could say "all gardening enthusiasts welcome!" :) Wildwood city representatives maintain the Wildwood-orientation due to the garden's location and the city's involvement.
