(Baseball) Hats off to the Eureka Cardinals baseball team, who had a perfect 12-0 division record during the 2010 season, and won the American Red Central Division. They played through the Eureka Sports Association in the St. Louis County Athletic Association.  

One of the team's coaches Rich Blum, owner of IPG Financial, Inc. in Eureka, reports they have been practing indoors since January, and are eager to get back outdoors to play again.

"We had planned to start outside again this week, but the snow may have slowed that down," said Blum.

He said they are looking forward to "a whole new year" because it will be their first season with dealing with player-pitched ball.  "We had pitching machines in the past, so we're really looing forward to this season."
