Viewfinder: Bands Serenade Farmers' Market Shoppers
A variety of musical groups will perform throughout the 2011 Wildwood Farmers' Market season. A country rock and bluegrass band kicked it all off Saturday.
Customers of the Wildwood Farmers' Market have an extra treat to which to look forward each Saturday, in addition to produce, plants, food, products and handmade items. An array of musical talent will perform each Saturday.
Harmonicas and a banjo were among the instruments that the first band, Crooked Creek, brought with them to kick off the season Saturday. Familiar tunes from bands such as the Eagles and the Pure Prairie League, wafted in the background.
This band plays graduations, rehearsal meals, and weddings, and is available to come in full Western attire for special occasions.
"Never in a million years did I think I'd be selling jewelry in a parking garage with fabulous music playing in the background, but it all works really well," said Debbie Sinn, a local independent representative for Silpada jewelry.
