Stolen Convertible to be Fished Out of Meramec River at Noon

A stolen red 1989 Chrysler Convertible from April was found in the Meramec River at the Allenton Boat Ramp near Eureka. Police will extract it at noon today.

A stolen vehicle will be pulled from the Meramec River early this afternoon by St. Louis County Police Auto Crime Unit Detectives, working with the High Ridge Fire Department.

The vehicle appears to be associated with an investigation launched on April 24 of a stolen red 1989 Chrysler Convertible. The vehicle was parked in the street near 369 Emmanuel Court in Valley Park when the crime occurred.

Authorities announced today the car was found completely submerged by two individuals who were fishing on Aug. 22.

St. Louis County Police Detectives will be meeting High Ridge Fire Department near the Allenton Boat Ramp off of Hunters Ford Road in Eureka around 11 a.m.
