Starbucks Expanding: Are More Coffee Shops Needed?
TAKE QUICK POLL: The coffee company reportedly plans to add at least 1,500 cafes in the U.S. over the next five years.
Associated Press journalists reported Wednesday that the world’s largest coffee company plans to add at least 1,500 cafes in the United States over the next five years.
The report indicates Starbucks would have more than 20,000 cafes by 2014, up from its current count of about 18,000.
The AP is also reporting the Seattle-based company also plans to move from its current Tazo tea and begin serving Teavana, which it announced it would acquire last month.
There is currently one Starbucks Coffee location in Wildwood at Town Center. However, there are Saint Louis Bread Co. cafes in both Wildwood and Eureka.
What do you think? Do you welcome more Starbucks? Are you happy to see the company grow, or are there enough Starbucks already? Tell us in the comments' section below.

I am happy to see Starbucks grow. I travel a lot and am pleased to find Starbucks along the way. If Starbucks can be profitable with 18,000 stores more power to them. They treat their employees very well and should be seen as an asset to any community.

I agree with Judy! More power to them if they can support 20, 000 cafes.
