Six Flags-St. Louis Celebrates 40-Plus Years
PHOTOS: June 5, 2011, marked the 40th anniversary of the opening of our region's Six Flags amusement park. It was the company's third theme park, and their last one built from scratch. Loyal former employees gathered to celebrate that year in Eureka.
An outpouring of love for Six Flags-St. Louis oozed from Eureka during the anniversary weekend of June 2011, as original employees who were the foundation of the theme park gathered to remininsce and investigate the park's new offerings during the park's 40th anniversary kickoff.
Now park employees look forward to opening their 42nd year of operations during 2013.
