Seven eBay Items from Eureka Available

One never knows what will crop up on eBay, the world's online marketplace. It seems historical items have been a trend related to Eureka.

Here are a few finds:

    1. Anyone remember the Truitt Brothers Restaurant in Eureka? This postcard from it, which appears to be taken in the autumn, is offered for $5.50.

    2. A baseball card featured Brandon Smith from Eureka at Southeast Missouri State University. Suggested price is $1.95.

    3. A postcard highlighting the Assumption Cornonation Grotto in Eureka. Suggested price is $1.75. Anyone know what year the grotto was finished?

    4. Apparently singer Ronnie McDowell lent his band to raising funds for flood recovery in Eureka during 1983. This newspaper clipping indicates McDowell's band performed a fundraising concert for local flood victims. The concert was co-sponsored by Bi-State American Red Cross and 55 KSD Radio. Suggested price is $5.

    5. A nice duotone photo of the historic McLanhan Dining Hall at the Wyman Center in Eureka is available for $15. 

    6. Here's an item for anyone who graduated from Eureka High School in 1987. A copy of the Eurekana yearbook from that year is for sale for $39.95.

    7. International sellers from Hong Kong also offer customized Eureka items through a series of signs and neon signs. A photo of the sellers' "I Luv Eureka, MO" accompanies this article. A neon sign about Eureka firefighters can be purchased for $18.99. A Eureka city limit sign also is available for $18.99.
