Route 109 Lanes to Close for Repairs
Starting Thursday, Missouri Department of Transportation crews will make pavement repairs on northbound and southbound Missouri Route 109 between Legends Parkway and Eureka High School.
Missouri Department of Transportation crews will begin resurfacing work Thursday, Jan. 31, on Missouri Route 109 south of Interstate 44, starting at the Legends Parkway intersection in Eureka. Crews will close the southbound right turn lane for one week to remove and replace the concrete lane.
Daily lane closures during non-peak hours (could be day or night) will occur while crews perform this work. MoDOT officials urge motorists to pay attention to flagging operations and work zone signs.
The approximate cost for this work over the next several weeks is $3.6 million.

Yes, I believe MoDOT's intention is to only have one lane closed at a time. But I inquired with MoDOT about whether Rockwood School District has been notified regarding the effects on bus routes that travel through this area daily, or if some temporary alternatives will be sought, and am awaiting their answers. I also asked if signage will be placed in various directions from Eureka, to help forewarn motorists of potential time delays.

This project has been pushed to Monday, due to the weather, MoDOT just told Patch. Regarding our other questions, a MoDOT spokesperson said:
"1) The school buses will be able to maneuver around the work zones without any issues. 2) The traffic coming from House Springs to I-44 will have no problems. We will have lane closures at night on northbound 109 for non-rush hour periods. 3) Rockwood School District was notified ahead of time. They were at our pre-construction meeting and represented the school and the bus companies. 4) No signs are planned to be installed in House Springs at this time. If we see an issue we may consider additional signage."
