This week, you'll start seeing headlines from Patch reporters on Fox 2's 5 p.m. newscasts on Mondays and Fridays. Occasionally, you'll see and hear Patch editors on the air as we cover the communities in St. Louis, St. Charles and northern Jefferson counties.

I hope the Patch will leave out the "Breaking News" style of reporting that FOX2 and all of the other television media outlets use. I enjoy the neighborhood flavor of the Patch. We don't need any more in your face, you heard it first, you paid for it news on the internet. Keep it local.

Here, here. I really like the Patch. Would like to see a little more sports coverage. For example there was nothing about "Bountygate" on here. Don't want the in depth coverage from other media sites, but something would have been nice. More so for the comments to gauge what Patch readers thought.

@Michael - It would be great if parents/school staff would upload pics and a game score after some of the local sporting events. Here are directions on how to do it. It's super easy and Patch loves reader photos and announcements! Check it out: http://bit.ly/zmP37w. Just let the Patch editor know you posted it and they will normally try and feature it on the front page - especially sports pics from their local schools:)

I think this is a great idea. One of the criticisms of local news is that it overlooks a lot of really interesting "small" stories. I think Patch will help Fox 2 find those stories.
