New Assistant Principal Hired for Lafayette High School
Lafayette High teacher becomes newest addition to the school's administrative staff in Wildwood.
Colleen Fields joins the administrative team at Lafayette High School in Wildwood as assistant principal.
She replaces Matthew Dieckhaus who accepted the position of coordinator of Rockwood's Individualized Learning Center in Eureka.
Fields began her career in education at Lafayette High 13 years ago as a language arts teacher. For the last seven years, she also served as the Language Arts Department Chairperson. During this time, she served as a Rockwood School District Professional Learning Community (PLC) leader and trainer and as a presenter for both national and local conferences.
Fields earned both a bachelor’s degree in mass communication-television/radio and a master’s degree in secondary reading from Southern Illinois University. She will complete a master’s degree in educational leadership from Maryville University in July, according to Rockwood records.
