Michelle's Cafe Team Bottles Unique Salad Dressing

While owners of a bistro with contemporary cuisine in Eureka celebrate the restaurant's 10th anniversary, they are bottling more than happiness and customer service.

After Michelle's Cafe and Catering customers started coming in with their own containers to use for filling up with the restaurant's fresh-made salad dressings, owners Michelle Johnson and Curt Newsome decided to bottle their special honey shallot vinaigrette, as well as their poppyseed versions.

Johnson told Patch the dressing costs $4.95 for a 12-ounce bottle.

She said their house dressing, along with the other dressings they bottle, are ones they have had since the beginning of their restaurant, or have tried and customers have responded favorably.

She said they plan to add their raspberry vinaigrette to the bottled offerings, too. "All of the dressings are made in-house, and have no preservatives added."

For the restaurant's 10th year anniversary, she said they hope to bottle a strawberry vinaigrette dressing.

"We are so pleased at the response we have gotten. We are planning on adding to our retail line," she said.
