Richard Ahrens Sr., of Eureka, died Friday. He was born Nov. 5, 1950, in St. Louis, of the late Virgil and Lenore Ahrens.

He was the husband of Terri Ahrens (nee Polster); father of Richard Ahrens, II, Serena (Octav) Chipara (nee Ahrens), Elizabeth and Christina Ahrens; grandfather Seth; brother and brother-in-law of Rita (nee Ahrens) and Brad Mickey, Judy Ahrens, Steve and Sunny Ahrens and Tom and Jeanette Ahrens. He is survived by his aunt Rosemarie Ahrens and uncle Clete Ahrens. He is further survived by nephews, niece and cousins.

Visitation will be Tuesday and Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway in Ballwin.

Funeral will start at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at Schrader, going to Most Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Eureka to celebrate a 10 a.m. Mass. Interment will be in the Pin Oak Cemetery at 1:30 p.m., Truxton, MO.
